Feedback – Recent ISC events:

"The GSE Industry Solution Council on IBM Smarter Computing, organized in La Gaude, provided a comprehensive succession of presentations showing IBM's position on innovation areas. On top of having an insight of where action happens, interaction with other attendants was highly interesting.

All the sessions held the attention of the audience, and if any should be emphasized as more relevant from my point of view, I would name Banking Transformation Workbench built on the Core Banking z Enterprise Hybrid Integration Solution and A Practical Approach to Smarter Computing - overview of Montpellier offerings, experiences and customer engagements.

In both cases, despite not specifically referring to any business area of direct involvement by our organization, one could appreciate the practical value of the situations described for any IT shop confronted with increasingly large volumes of data needing to be managed while technological renewal is achieved and service levels maintained.

The impeccable organization of logistics and adequate session coordination made it easier to deal with a busy agenda, which was unavoidable due to the nature of the event and the short availability of both attendants and speakers."

Mr. José Ramon Alzola Garrido, Server Databases Team Manager - System Engineering, European Patent Office, The Netherlands

"The organization of the event was excellent, as it was possible to arrange a very rich and high level content and timetable within a fairly short timeframe of 1,5 days. While the schedule was very challenging and tight, all was on time. The conference room facilities were very efficient and the presentations were very interesting.

The subjects covered were diverse, with the main focus being on cloud computing, which is a very hot topic. Moreover, the presentation on “Systems Agenda”, mainly an approach to IT Governance and Management, was extremely interesting and of great use to my current assignment. I was offered on the spot additional support regarding this area and IBM Lab People and Management did everything necessary to facilitate my obtaining further help. They did this by requesting additional information regarding my assignment and by introducing me to world class specialists within the IBM environment. Particularly interesting was customer stories that were presented, mainly in an informal way.

I would like to strongly stress that I would recommend this event to anyone with relevant IT interests."
